Where the Data Lives

Kemicard runs inside your Salesforce org, and the stateless Kemicard Server that signs passes stores no customer data, so the member record stays where you already govern it. Where that org is hosted is a choice you make with Salesforce: Hyperforce is available in Canada, and Salesforce has expanded its Canadian Hyperforce offerings for organizations with data-residency requirements.

Which law applies depends on the organization and on where personal information flows.

PIPEDA covers private-sector organizations' commercial activities.
Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec have their own private-sector laws, deemed substantially similar to PIPEDA for organizations operating entirely within those provinces (Office of the Privacy Commissioner summary).

English and French

Bilingual programs can run language-specific templates, one English and one French, and issue each member the version in their language. Both wallets are built for this: Apple Wallet passes carry localized strings, and Google Wallet stores translations alongside each text value.
